I see a lot of handwringing over magic/alternative health/herbs as if people choose that over seeing a doctor. Maybe it's folks in different countries but in the US at least many folks cannot access care unless it's a life/death situation. Others of us have flat out been told it's in our heads/we're faking it etc. so before you judge folks exploring alternatives by posting another unnecessary PSA, try understand why people do it. It's not fear. It's abandonment.

I've been too disabled to go to Pride for a few years running. Looks like it's shaping up to be that way this year too. I'd honestly need a wheelchair to go and that's fraught for a lot of reasons; intermittent mobility problems means everyone thinks you're faking always plus I don't have one. So if you're headed to a Pride celebration today keep us disabled queers in your thoughts, work to make Pride more accessible for us materially and socially.

To this day one of the most unexpected things to ever happen to me is a classmate from Medellin, Columbia finding out I used to live in Morgantown, WV and asking if I'd ever done cocaine because he'd heard Morgantown had lots of cocaine.

Was the combination of a unicorn and a bi flag intentional or...just straight folks being straight...?

Finished product. Mostly. Still need to put the backing on and finish the hoop but I'm done stitching. Came okay pretty well for like my 3rd hoop ever.

It's my birthday! I was on the fence about how and whether to celebrate it - I have some complicated feelings about it. But what I decided on was that I wanted to involve service and art and reflection and ritual.

I'm still teaching myself to embroider but I'm working hard on a present for my partner's grandma for her birthday. Anyone else embroider? How did you get good at it?

Y'all these weren't here literally 3 hours ago when I took our dog out. What the hell. They're in a perfect circle too. Will probably leave milk out just to cover my ass. I don't need faeries in my life right now.
